During one of the Interior projects, we were exploring different material options in varied finishes. Powder coated in black, mild steel was one of them. Fascinated by the 3mm thick sample and parallel to personal need for a study desk; the two things overlapped and fitted right in. However, because metal is not the perfect insulator, lacquered glass was finalised for this furniture piece.
Designed focussing on function, usability and maintenance; the table includes an in-built space for connecting study light and electronic devices, a designated back-lit surface for design work purpose and drawers for storage. Currently under fabrication, the stainless steel finished inverted v-structures respond to the movement of chair and body postures while using the table.
